SPEKTOR Technologies
SPEKTOR is a forensic investigation platform designed by the English company Evidence Talks. The tooling is suitable for the digital investigators who conduct investigations on location (Ultra) or in a forensic lab (Kiosk).
SPEKTOR is designed for triage* purposes and enables investigators to decide whether a digital exhibit contains information of interest or if there is enough obvious evidence on the device to proceed with charging. SPEKTOR uses the AFF-4 format, so copying is still forensically justifiable, but up to 5 times faster.
A big advantage of this working method is that the amount of seized data is significantly reduced in comparison with the traditional scenario, in which all data carriers are copied and examined. It also speeds up the prosecution process and reduces the workload for the forensic investigators.
The SPEKTOR product range is moreover very user-friendly and requires only minimal training.
