Cryptocurrency Investigations

Addressable Investigations

When the blockchain trace goes cold, Addressable keeps the investigation moving by analysing off-chain signals, connecting wallets to devices and leads towards real-world operators.

Addressable Investigations helps crypto investigators solve the cases where traditional toolkits aren't sufficient. On-chain platforms are extremely effective at tracing cryptocurrency, but criminals can break the trail using mixers, fresh wallets, bridges and other techniques. Addressable Investigations adds an off-chain attribution layer, connecting wallet activity with device and behavioural intelligence to help investigators identify the entities behind otherwise anonymous wallets. The result is a more complete investigation, from the movement of the money to the identification of the person or organisation behind it.

Addressable Investigations Identifies the Entities Behind Cryptocurrency Wallets
Addressable Investigations is an advanced blockchain forensic attribution platform designed for law enforcement agencies, investigative services, internal investigation teams, and organizations involved in the investigation and recovery of stolen digital assets.

At the core of the platform is Spectra, an off-chain attribution engine built on a network of more than 100 million connections between cryptocurrency wallets and digital devices. Rather than relying solely on transactional relationships, Spectra analyses the digital endpoints associated with crypto activity—including device signatures, session parameters, behavioural patterns, and geographic indicators—to identify the entity behind a wallet.

This approach enables attribution even when conventional on-chain tracing reaches its limits. Spectra can provide investigative leads in cases involving mixers such as Tornado Cash, newly created or single-use wallets, and cross-chain transfers, where the traditional chain of custody may have been deliberately obscured or broken.

By analysing shared device signatures and behavioural patterns, Spectra can also identify relationships between wallets that have no direct transactional connection. This allows investigators to cluster seemingly unrelated wallets and identify activity associated with the same underlying entity. Attribution can remain relevant even when an individual changes wallet addresses or moves funds across different blockchain networks.

The platform generates deterministic, time-stamped session records that provide an evidentiary foundation for investigations, security claims, asset recovery, and legal proceedings. Addressable Investigations can also complement existing blockchain analytics platforms by providing off-chain intelligence and digital attribution data that traditional on-chain tools do not collect.

Addressable Investigations is SaaS software and compliant with SOC 2 and EU GDPR, supporting its use in professional investigative and enterprise environments.
