Schedule your data imports with i2 iBase!

i2 iBase 9 offers many different import functionalities: from single text files and images, to bulk import of large amounts of structured data and the possibility to merge files. Plenty of features for analysts to get started with!

Still, we often see users start their data imports manually and spend a lot of valuable time doing so. To reduce the duration of the import process, we have noticed that the Bulk import functionality is being used more and more. That’s great, but it can be done even more efficiently! Did you know that iBase 9 has a (semi) automatic import function? This import function is called the Scheduler and is already successfully used by many iBase 9 users.

The Scheduler function in iBase 9 ensures that imports take place at a predetermined time. You can choose the day and time that is most suitable for this. For example, it may be beneficial to schedule the imports outside of working hours so that users do not experience any inconvenience during normal working hours.

Using the Scheduler in combination with the previously mentioned Bulk import function, it is also possible to create a very dynamic, near-real live data analysis suite. This ensures that the analyst always has up-to-date information for his/her investigations.

Setting up and activating this functionality requires the necessary adjustments in the configuration. DataExpert is happy to support you in this. This may be in the form of remote support and/or an on-site consultant who supervises the entire process and relieves you of any concerns.

In addition, we recommend that you install the latest version of iBase, iBase 9. This version is significantly improved and brings speed and new valuable features to your investigations. Our support department can also provide you with excellent support in this area. It is also possible to participate in a free iBase 9 workshop when you have a DataExpert/Forensic Experts Support Package.

Are you curious about what the Scheduler can do for your data analyses and import processes or would you like support during the installation of iBase 9? Please contact Forensic Experts to discuss the possibilities.
