PublicSonar and DataExpert form partnership

Veenendaal, 3 March 2022

As of 1 February, PublicSonar and DataExpert are joining forces. Their joint mission: to support organisations in the risk and security domain in early alerting and the creation of a quick and complete situational picture with incidents.

Ana Maria Oniceanu, Analytics Manager at DataExpert: “In early alerting and forming a good situational picture, for example in case of social unrest or an incident, online data sources such as web and social media are indispensable. We are pleased to add PublicSonar to our portfolio of OSINT and Cyber Threat Intelligence products. PublicSonar, while adhering to legal frameworks and data privacy rules, offers our customers a very user-friendly platform to obtain real-time key insights from large amounts of online data”.

Sjors van den Dries, CEO of PublicSonar: “Collaboration, knowledge sharing and complementary solutions are crucial in the fight for security. Precisely because DataExpert makes the difference in that area, we are very excited about this partnership. This partnership will allow us to expand our Northern European operations and support organisations with our Media Intelligence platform. Organisations that in turn, based on real-time insights, can mitigate risks and manage incidents”.

PublicSonar
PublicSonar was created in 2012 from two Dutch research institutes, TNO and TU Delft. Research showed that during disasters and incidents, much valuable real-time information is available on social media. However, there was a lack of tooling to quickly form a complete situational picture from the endless amount of messages.

The real-time solution of PublicSonar now supports organisations from both the public and private sectors around the world. It provides these organisations with the ability to instantly and flexibly access insights from social media and other sources for their Cyber Threat Intelligence and OSINT investigations.
