DataExpert now part of the Interstellar Group

As of 1 February 2021, DataExpert is now part of Interstellar. Together with five other Dutch IT companies, we are joining forces to serve our customers even better. We retain our own independence and autonomy, and we continue to do what we have been doing, but we also work together intensively within the group.

Interstellar consists of a collection of IT service providers Solimas, Exite ICT and CSN Group, and IT specialists in the field of cloud and security Fundaments, Pinewood and DataExpert. All companies are autonomous enterprises with their own quality, specialisation and identity. Together we form one strong collective. The exchange of knowledge and expertise is multidisciplinary or linked to a single theme, such as cloud and security.

Interstellar customers increasingly want to move to the cloud, and with that comes the complexity of maintaining cyber security. Both developments require more specialist knowledge. Interstellar has this knowledge on board. The six companies will remain independent, but will benefit from each other's knowledge. For example, Pinewood has its own security operations centre that customers of the other companies can use. Customers of the three IT service providers within the group can also be effectively assisted in the event of a cyber attack.

Together, the six companies aim to grow into a major player in the Dutch IT sector. “It is our ambition to become the most relevant IT service provider in the Netherlands. We make the difference by taking on this challenge collectively, while at the same time retaining the unique identity and entrepreneurship of the member companies”, says Maarten van Montfoort, CEO of Interstellar. “From Interstellar, we have everything we need to support clients at the very highest level at every stage.”

Interstellar has a three-person management. Besides managing director Maarten van Montfoort, the team consists of CTO David Schaap and CFO Remy Cuny. Interstellar now has over four hundred employees and a turnover of 100 million euros. Through future acquisitions, Interstellar aims to become a managed services provider operating throughout the Netherlands.
