Upgrade i2 Analyst's Notebook and iBase
Support i2 Analyst's Notebook 9.4.0 (32-bits) and iBase 9.2.1 (32-bits)
End of support - December 2025
In July 2023, i2 released Analyst's Notebook 10.0.0, marking the first 64-bit version of the application. In November 2024, iBase 10.0.0 was released, also the first 64-bit version of that product. These technological upgrades ensure that Analyst's Notebook and iBase work with other 64-bit software, deliver improved performance, and introduce new features to better support analysts and investigators in carrying out their work. To give organizations more time to upgrade to Analyst’s Notebook 10 and iBase 10, i2 is extending the end-of-support date for earlier versions. i2 Analyst's Notebook 9.4.0 and iBase 9.2.1 are the last 32-bit versions of these products and will no longer be supported as of December 31, 2025
What does this mean for you?
By December 31, 2025, Analyst’s Notebook and iBase customers will need to upgrade to ANB version 10.0.2 (or later) and iBase version 10.0.0 (or later in order to continue using supported software, receive security and bug fixes, and gain access to new product features.
i2 uses three support phases for a product:
- Current support phase refers to the most recent release, which receives upgrades and updates.
- Mature support phase refers to earlier releases that are still supported. i2 support requests can be submitted, but no updates or upgrades are available.
- Retired support phase refers to older releases of a product. i2 support requests can still be submitted, but no updates or upgrades are available. Retired product versions are not supported by i2 Group; however, DataExpert will handle support requests for retired versions on a best-effort basis (see below under Support Packages).
- In addition, new features, maintenance, and security updates are only provided as upgrades and updates for the current version.
- New functionality is not available for mature or retired releases.
- i2 will provide at least six months’ notice before ending support for a product offering or package.
